Capasso Shuts Down Middlesex With No-Hitter as Runners Grab Road Win!

Sophomore pitcher Anthony Capasso was brilliant in his fifth appearance of the season, hurling a seven-inning no-hitter Tuesday afternoon in RCGC's 13-0 triumph over host Middlesex County College.

The right-handed pitcher out of Mainland High School faced 22 batters, walking two and allowing no hits. He improved his season record to 3-0 this spring.

His Roadrunner offense meanwhile cranked up the offense, collecting 18 hits, including three RBIs from Alex Gattinelli and Jose Correa along with two RBIs from Roylan Almonte. RCGC erupted for five runs in the top of the first while adding another 5 in the sixth to take a commanding 11-0 lead.

Coach Rob Valli's RCGC team improved to 20-3 overall and 5-1 in the conference as they prepare to meet Montgomery County College (PA) in a home game Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
