Roadrunner Baseball to Host Scout Day on Tuesday, Sept. 17

Rowan College South Jersey (RCSJ) Gloucester will host a Baseball Scout Day on Tuesday, September 17, beginning at 1:30 p.m. on the school's baseball complex.
Roadrunners' Coach Rob Valli expects approximately 25 to 30 pro and college coaches to attend. Roadrunner players will be timed in a 60-yard run, workout at their defensive positions where their arm strength and athletic actions will be evaluated. Players will also take part in batting practice and hit live versus RCGC pitchers, who will hurl one inning apiece.
"It is common for us to have players drafted and the norm for the vast majority to sort through scholarship offers," Coach Valli commented. "Scout day is an essential part of the process of placing our players at the highest levels of collegiate and professional baseball."
He added:
"We currently have alumni at every level of collegiate and pro baseball, including Major League Baseball. Our current student-athletes benefit from a long tradition of advancing players."
