Freshman Francesco Fazzolari tallied two goals while goalkeepers Connor Rink and James Bartolotto combined for the shutout to lift the Roadrunner men's soccer team to a 3-1 triumph over host Sussex County Community College in conference and region action Saturday.
The Roadrunners remained unbeaten with the triumph, improving to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the conference and region. The Skylanders (1-1-1) suffered their first loss of the season.
Fazzolari led of the scoring with an unassisted goal in the first half, adding a second goal in the half with an assist from Tyler Liberkowski. Andrew Seary made it 3-0 Runners, netting a goal with an assist from Justin Phy.
RCSJ Gloucester will next host Camden County College on Tuesday, Sept. 10 in a 3:30 pm start.
Game Preview
Roadrunner men's soccer will play Saturday, September 7 as they travel up to Sussex CCC to take on the Skylanders.
Kickoff is scheduled for 12 noon. The Roadrunners, coached by George Hobbins, are off to a 2-0 start following wins over Penn State Lehigh Valley and Manor College.
"This will be a tough test for our team," said Coach Hobbins. "Sussex is always a formidable opponent, so we're anxious to see where we stand."
