Cross Country: Roadrunners Perform Well in Osprey Open at Stockton University

The Rowan College of South Jersey – Gloucester Roadrunners traveled to the Osprey Open this past weekend for their first full distance cross country meet of the season. The teams faced a large competitive field and had excellent weather for the meet. Both the men and women were still not at full strength as we continue to ease ourselves into the season.


On the men's side, Noah Cziryak (Triton) led the way for the Roadrunners with a 39th place finish in a new personal record time of 27:47. Next up were the newest Roadrunners competing in their first 8k. Christion Anigilaje (Fort Lee) placed 129th in 31:19, Rob Brink (Morris Hills) placed 152nd in 33:07 and Steve Hubbard (Schalick) placed 179th in 36:30.


For the women, Kaitlyn Holland (Audubon) paced the team with a 165th place finish in 33:11 in her first 6k race. Coming in next was Amanda Aydelotte (Collingswood) in 194th in 38:05. Finally, in her racing debut, Erin Kelly (Sterling) finished in 199th in 39:16.


Next up for the Roadrunners is a preview of the Region 19 Championship course with a trip to the Blue/Gold Invitational hosted by the University of Delaware.

Meet Preview

The RCSJ-Gloucester men's and women's cross country teams are back in action on Saturday, September 21 during the Osprey Open at Stockton University, with a start time of 9:00 am.

For the women, Kaitlyn Holland (Audubon) is expected to lead the way following a medal winning finish in the Dukes Invitational on Sept. 7. Also expected to contribute will be Amanda Aydelotte (Collingswood), who also performed well at the Dukes Invitational.

For the men, Noah Cziryak (Triton) will be fresh off a solid second place finish in the Dukes Invitational with a strong time of 17:06 on the Cumberland course. Head coach Ryan Hughes will look for contributions from Ben Kellum (Clayton) and Steve Hubbard (Schalick) as well some newcomers joining the roster.
