Roadrunner men's and women's cross country teams competed in Saturday's Inter-Regional Border Battle, hosted by Rowan University at Gloucester County Dream Park in Logan Township.
In the men's race. sophomore Noah Cziryak was the Runners' top finisher in 27th place in 27:12.18 followed by teammates Christion Anigilaje in 101st place and Benjamin Kellum in 117th place.
"I was able to get my personal best on this course," said Cziryak, who trimmed 3 minutes off his time in last season's meet at GC Dream Park. "As a team we've shown a lot of improvement too."
In the women's race, Jeanine Morrow was the top finisher in 55th place with a time of 26:57.4 followed by Amanda Aydelotte in 111th place and Kaitlynn Hewitt in 116th place.
"It was a nice day for the race and we all ran some of our best times," said Hewitt following the women's race. "We feel we're ready for the postseason."

Up next for the Runners will be the Region XIX Championships in Delaware on October 26.
MEET PREVIEW
The Roadrunner men's and women's cross country teams will compete in the Rowan University Inter-Regional Border Battle on Saturday, October 19 at Gloucester County Dream Park Championship Cross Country Course. The course is mostly flat with soft surfaces.
