Cross Country: Men's, Women's Runners Perform Well in Stockton Meet

Cross Country. Usually a sport associated with the Fall; not with frozen ground, flurries, fierce winds, and facemasks... but the past year has brought many changes. With the changes brought about by the pandemic, the Roadrunners cross country team postponed their fall season until now. After a long hiatus, the Roadrunners were finally able to flock together again on a cross country course. The teams traveled to Stockton University on March 6 for the Osprey Invitational. The weather wasn't the greatest, with bone chilling cold, snow flurries, and a brutal wind, but the teams were happy to be in uniform again. The RCSJ Roadrunners worked together in their respective races to push each other through the tough conditions.

For the men, Christion Anigilage and Josh Potter paced each other stride for stride with Jacion Hammond close behind to finish 20, 21,and 22nd respectively. For the women, Jeanine Morrow led the way with and 8th place finish while the rest of the ladies stuck together like the men, with Amanda Aydelotte, Kaitlyn Holland, and Erin Kelly taking 14th, 15th and 16th respectively. Next up for the Roadrunners will be the Roadrunner Invitational being held at home on March 21st.
