Congratulations to the Roadrunner softball team, which has moved up to the No. 4 spot in the NJCAA Division III National Rankings released earlier this week.
Now the owner of a 27-9 overall record following key wins over Lehigh-Carbon and Suffolk (NY) last weekend, the Roadrunners were expected to move up this week when the new rankings were released. RCGC now has won 17 in a row, including a dramatic come-from-behind win over Rowan Burlington this week.
But when asked about the possibility of advancing in the national rankings, head coach Steve DePasquale merely shrugged off the discussion.
"We can only control what we do on the field -- rankings are just numbers so we don't worry about it," said DePasquale.
