Shuff Plays Key Role as Roadrunner Women's Soccer Rallies for Dramatic Win Over Fashion IT

The Roadrunner Women's Soccer team is now on a roll and hopes to continue their winning ways on their current New York road trip.

RCSJ won its third straight game Saturday, edging host Fashion Institute of Technology by a 3-2 score.

Returning Region 19 All-Star Kayleigh Shuff had a hand in all three scores by assisting on goals by Madison Bridges and McKinley Cielinski wile netting the winning goal late in the second half.

The Runners fell behind 2-0 in the first half before Bridges' goal at the 22:00 mark made it 2-1 heading into halftme. Cielinski's goal in the second half tied the score at 2-2 before Shuff tallied the game winner with an assist from Emma Baus.

Goalkeeper Lauren Graham stopped 11 of 13 shots to earn the win in the nets.

Next up for the Runners is an away match in New York Sunday at No. 10 nationally ranked Suffolk County CC in a 1 pm start.
