Roadrunner Women's Soccer Coach Stephen Hart has enjoyed watching his team evolve into a playoff contender as the 2023 Fall season progressed.

Now he hopes his immensely talented Roadrunner club can cash in with the biggest game of the season on the horizon.

The No. 1 seed Roadrunners will host No. 2 seed Ocean County College Saturday in the Region 19 North Atlantic District B title game in an 11 am start. The winner will earn a berth in the upcoming NJCAA Division III National Championship Tournament in November.

The confidence is surging among the RCSJ players, who blanked the Vikings 3-0 on the road in early October. But just as important, the Runners enter the contest healthy and with a full lineup, something which has not happened this season.

"We've had to switch lineups around throughout the season due to the injuries, but that allowed us to evaluate our lineups closely," said Hart, a first-year coach. "But I have to tell you that it is great to have a healthy lineup. We have some high expectations."

Among Hart's top players have been All-Region 19 standouts Alaina Villari (forward), Kayleigh Shuff (midfield) and Rayael Marshall (defender). Villari leads the team in goals scored with 7 and total points with 15.

"These three players have shown great improvement throughout the season and have done everything we asked," said Coach Hart.

Other top players for the Roadrunners have been sophomore Madison Bridges, who is second on the team with 9 points, and goalkeeper Lauren Graham, one of the Region's top goalies with a 2.13 goals against average.

The No. 2 seed Vikings enter the contest with a 7-4 overall following a semifinal win over Lehigh Carbon early in the week.
