Charlotte, NC – Following the recommendations from the NJCAA Presidential Advisory Council and the NJCAA Board of Regents, the NJCAA has announced its adjusted plan of action for the upcoming 2020-21 academic year. Following the Board of Regents’ vote on Monday, a majority of competition will be moved to the spring semester.
The Roadrunner women's tennis team enjoyed a second straight successful national championship tournament this past weekend as they soared to a third place overall finish in the NJCAA Division III Nationals in Peachtree City, GA.
Haley Kirchner, Kayla Demsak-Lisek, Emily Custer, Jessica Williams, Madison Homan and Maeve McFadden were all winners in singles matches to lead the improving RCGC women's tennis team to a 9-0 victory over Bucks County College in a Region XIX competition on Thursday at home.
The RCGC women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to visiting Northampton County College on Saturday. Winners for the Roadrunners included Emily Custer at third singles; Jessica Williams at fourth singles; and Kayla Demsak-Lisek and Jessica Williams at second doubles.
The Roadrunner women's tennis team, which finished second in the NJCAA Division III National Championship Tournament in 2017, opened the 2018 campaign by disposing of visiting Brookdale Community College 6-3 on Friday, Sept. 14.
Last season, veteran RCGC women's tennis coach Kelly Hernandez guided her team on a season-ending magical run that nearly carried the Roadrunners to the very top of the NJCAA Division III championship tournament.
