The RCGC Women's Track & Field team prepares for the Osprey Open hosted by Stockton University this weekend. The two day event will consist of competition from NCAA DI - DIII schools as well as Junior Colleges that will continue to give the team a better look at the athletes they will compete against at the NJCAA DIII National Championships. The Open also offers the team its first opportunity for "multi" athletes to test their abilities in competition. Women competing in the Heptathlon will compete in 7 events across two separate days of competition.
The Osprey Open will also allow the many RCGC athletes who have reached National Qualifying performances to hone in on their skills and better their standings in the nation. Presently the team remains ranked 3rd in the nation within the USTFCCCA weekly National Rating Index. The Women boast 15 top ten performances and of which three of them our ranked #1 in their respective events.
Action kicks off on Friday, April 12th @ 1:15 pm starting with the Heptathlon. Day 2 of the event continues on Saturday, beginning at 9:15 am.
