Roadrunner Women's Track & Field Team Performs Wells Despite Weather at Purple & Gold Invitational

Rain, rain, go away! The men's and women's track and field teams faced the driving wind and cold rain for as long as possible this past weekend before cutting the meet short at the Purple and Gold invitational hosted by West Chester University. The weather was pretty much the story here, as most performances were severely hampered by the conditions. Despite the horrible conditions, there was still some good to come out of the meet. The teams had some new qualifiers and season bests, which are a testament to the strength of our Roadrunners!

On the women's side, the team had 5 seasonal best performances in events as well as 1 NJCAA Nationals qualifying performances from Kara Knorr in the hammer throw.

On the men's side, the team came home with 3 seasonal best performances as well as 2 NJCAA Nationals qualifying performances from Angel Garnett-Willis and AJ Davis in the javelin. The teams are looking forward to their next meet, and good weather, the Osprey Open hosted by Richard Stockton University.
