Volleyball Team Wins Again as They Approach Playoff Berth and School Record for Wins
The Roadrunner volleyball team is approaching a record season following Saturday's 3-0 win over host Passaic County.

The Roadrunners are on the brink of clinching an NJCAA Region XIX playoff berth, and helped themselves on Saturday when they swept all three matches by scores of 25-15, 25-10, and 25-13.

The triumph helped improve RCGC's season record to 7-5 as they also look to break the school record of 8 wins in a season set in 1985 under Coach Diana Janvier. That team had the best winning percentage at .727 with an 8-3 record. That team is the only RCGC/GCC women's volleyball team to have an above .500 record in the 21 year history of the program.

Leading the way were second-year standout Emily Tate, who collected 7 total attacks and 2 digs; first year player Megan Snook, who picked up 2 total attacks, 20 assists, and 4 digs; first-year standout Taylor Caldas, who collected 4 kills, 10 TA's, and 2 digs; and second-year star Azhiyanna Redd, who had 14 TA's and 9 kills.

The Runners also toppled Passaic by a 3-0 score in a match at RCGC on September 15. Coach Rebecca Pierson's team will host a tough opponent in Region XIX foe Ocean County College on Oct. 2 at 6 pm.
