GAME DAY: Women's Volleyball Hosts Community College of Philadelphia

The Roadrunner Women's Volleyball has performed well in the early part of the 2019 season despite playing in what may be its toughest stretch of the regular season. The Runners, coached by Rebecca Pierson, won their opening match against Lehigh Carbon but are now 1-4 overall after playing top competition on the road this past weekend at Raritan Valley.

But Coach Pierson hopes to see a turnaround starting tonight when her team host Community College of Philadelphia at 6:00 pm.

"We have a young but very talented team -- and we knew our first stretch of games would be tough," said Pierson, a third-year coach. "We've played well despite the losses and we fully expect to start winning our share of matches."

The Runners, who competed in last season's Region XIX Tournament for the first time in school history, have received excellent player from freshman Katie Burrichter (Our Lady of Mercy Academy) and setter Dominque Marcano (Washington Township). Taylor Caldas, the lone sophomore on the roster, has also played well.

Game time tonight begins at 6:00 pm. See details below.
