Marleigh Puglia Signs Letter of Intent to Run Women's Cross Country at RCSJ Gloucester in Fall 2020

Marleigh Puglia a cross country and track standout at Schalick High School, signed a letter of intent to run women's cross country for the Roadrunners starting in the Fall of 2020.

Marleigh helped the Cougars win their first South Jersey girls cross country sectional championship in 23 years last Fall with her fifth place finish in the meet. Her top-five finish gave Schalick five individual finishers in the top 12 to help secure the team title. Marleigh also proved to be a talented 1600 and 3,200-meter runner in track, and is expected to be a key member of the Roadrunners' women's track and field team in Spring 2021.

She also ran on Schalick's individual 4 x 800 relay and distance medley relay indoor state championship teams in 2019-20, while also participating in the Cougars' 4 x 800 relay state title effort in Spring 2019. She and her Schalick teammates will be honored by the Salem County Sports Hall of Fame for their state championship efforts on August 26th.

Roadrunners' Coach Ryan Hughes is looking forward to Marleigh's contributions as a member of both the cross country and track teams next season! Welcome to the program!
