An air of excitement surrounds the Roadrunner Men's and Women's Cross Country teams as they prep for Saturday's NJCAA Division III National Championship Meet Saturday at Pole Green Park in Richmond, VA.
The postseason has arrived, and there is little question that the Roadrunner Men's and Women's Cross Country teams are primed for a key challenge this weekend.
The men’s and women’s cross country teams once again traveled across the river to PA for the DeSales Invitational hosted by DeSales University. This invitational was much larger than last week and once again RCSJ was the only Junior College in attendance. The course offered a mix of terrain and some challenging hills. Despite the challenging course, almost all of the Roadrunners set personal bests for the season, a good indication of their great preparation for the championship meets ahead.
Courtney O'Hara finished as RCSJ's top women's runner while Evan Bongard was the top finisher for the Roadrunners in the men's race during Saturday's Highlander Invitational at Cairn University in Langhorne, PA.
The men’s and women’s cross country teams traveled to Region 19 rival Brookdale this past week and were able to face off against most of our local NJCAA competition. The teams did amazingly well, with both coming home with team wins.
The men's and women's cross country teams faced their largest crowd of runners in a meet this season at the Osprey Open hosted by Stockton University. The teams faced off against mostly NCAA III competition on a sunny and warm day and came away as the top JUCO teams in the field.
