Title: Women's Cross Country Assistant Coach

Coach Sharon Schilling has completed her 1st season as Men’s and Women’s Assistant Cross Country Coach. In her debut season for the Roadrunners, she helped to lead the teams to a sweep of the GSAC and Region 19 titles in 2023. The teams earned a combined 9 All-GSAC, 6 All-Region, and 2 All-American honors with the assistance of Coach Schilling.
Coach Schilling brings a wealth of experience in many areas of coaching. She has served as a basketball coach at Deptford HS and Wildwood Jr. HS, she has served as a softball coach at Wildwood HS, she has served as a track and field coach at Deptford HS and Wildwood HS, and she has served as the women’s assistant cross country coach at Rowan University.
Sharon also comes to the team with a bold athletic resume from her alma mater at Rowan University. During her time there she was an NJAC champion in both cross country and track and field, earned numerous All-Mideast Region and All-NJAC honors. She competed in several NCAA Division III Championships with a top finish of 10th place in the 1500m. At Rowan, she served as team captain, was awarded most valuable runner, and was named woman of the year in 1993.
Outside of the college, Coach Schilling works as a 4th grade teacher in Deptford Township where she was named teacher of the year in 2015. A southern New Jersey native, Schilling resides in Sewell, NJ with her husband John, and 4 children.
