Goan Belts Grand Slam to Lead Baseball Win

​​Sophomore Jack Goan (Cherry Hill East) belted a grand slam home run to help the Roadrunners score eight unanswered runs in the middle innings to spark a 19-9 triumph over Jefferson University's JV on Thursdy afternoon. 

The Runners entered the fourth inning ahead by an 11-9 score, and after scoring one run thanks to a hit batsman, Goan stepped up and ripped a pitch over the left centerfield fence to extend the lead to 16-9. 
 
 
RCGC, No. 2 in the NJCAA Division III National Rankings, improved their overall record to 13-2 in the 2018 campaign. Coach Rob Valli's team will host top-ranked Cumberland County College Friday afternoon in a 1 p.m. start, weather permitting, followed by a doubleheader at CCC on Saturday.
