Men's Tennis Stays on Course, Remains Unbeaten With Triumph Over Ocean County College

Men's tennis coach Brian Rowan likes what he sees in his team so far.

And why not? Following Thursday's 9-0 Region XIX triumph over visiting Ocean County College, the Roadrunners continue to make impressive strides. RCGC now has a 4-0 overall record as the squad prepares to face the Haverford JV Saturday indoors on the Main Line.

Sophomore Sebastian Gonzalez led the way with a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles vs. the Vikings on a chilly afternoon.

"I'm pleased to be getting some tennis in," said Rowan, whose team saw early matches postponed or canceled due to inclement weather. "We are showing signs of improvement and head into a busy part of the schedule. We haven't faced Brookdale yet who is a chief rival but it looks like we can contend in our Region this season."

The victory was the second this season vs. Ocean County following a 9-0 win on March 28th.
