Veteran's Corner – Women’s Volleyball Standout Megan Shook

Position: Setter

Major: Secondary education.

Career Highlights:  Has emerged as one of Region's XIX's top setters and possibly one of the best in NJCAA Division III nationally. In the current season, she has collected 199 assists, averaging 4.85 assists per set; 106 digs, averaging 2.58 per set; and 42 service aces, good for 1.024 per set. Megan has started 12 matches. Did not play as a first-year student in 2017.

Played varsity volleyball all four years at Sterling High, developing into one of South Jersey's premier setters by her senior year. In her senior season, she posted 106 service points, 218 assists and 118 digs.

Future Plans: Hopes to continue education and possible playing career at Rowan University; but is also considering The College of New Jersey.

Around Campus: "I didn't get involved in any activities during my freshman year," said Shook. "I'm glad I did this year. I enjoy being with my teammates, and everyone has told us how impressed they are with the program – the credit goes to coach Pierson and all of our players, who have worked hard to be competitive."

Coach Rebecca Pierson on Megan Shook:  "Megan brings an element to our game that we never had. before. She had four years experience in high school, and we've never had that type of experience on our roster before. She has stepped up as a leader this season."
