GAME DAY: Sambour Lifts Men's Basketball to Road Win at Salem CC

Guard Nick Sambour (Williamstown) led four players in double figures with 17 points to lead the Roadrunner men's Basketball team to an 81-64 road triumph over Salem Community College on Tuesday night in Carneys Point.

Also hitting twin figures for coach Will Logan's team were Danny Williams (15 points), Tim Schultice (11) and Jeremy Flemming (10). The game marked the first time the two programs played each other in men's basketball since the Oaks restored athletics at SCC.

The Runners raced out to a 42-28 halftime lead and never looked back. The win was the second of the season and improved RCSJ-Gloucester's record to 2-4 overall and 2-2 in the conference.

Next up for the Runners will be a home game vs. Northampton Community College on Nov. 21 starting at 7:00 p.m.

Game Preview

The Roadrunner men's basketball team hopes to rebound from a 1-4 overall start the 2019-20 season when they visit Salem Community College in a 7:00 pm start Tuesday night in a 6 pm tip off.

Forward Stan Martin leads the team in offense, averaging 20 points per game. Guard Danny Williams is currently averaging 14.6 points per game in three games while teammates Tim Schultice (11.7 ppg) and Nick Sambour (11.2 ppg) are also averaging in twin figures.

The host Oaks, which just restarted their basketball program, have an 0-4 record -- all close defeats.
