Roadrunner Men's Tennis Rebounds from First Setback by Blanking Suffolk CC

The Roadrunner Men's Tennis team suffered their first dual meet loss of the season Friday, but roared back in style the following day with a 9-0 win over visiting Suffolk CC on April 8th.

The win improved the Runners' dual meet record to 3-1 overall.

Rockland Caselli (first singles), Kyle Deacon (second singles) and Jason Petrin (third singles) led the way with Caselli/Deacon also winning at No. 1 doubles. Ben Konyak and Matt Messengale also played well in their No. 3 doubles win.

"This was a good win for the guys today," said Coach Brian Rowan. "Everyone got to contribute and we are playing well. Jason Petrin played a three setter and came through. He has been probably our most consistent player so far this season. He has the ability to figure things out on the court and did that today playing a big hitter. He kept a few more balls in play, hit more slice on the backhand and finished the match well. Matt Massengale and Ben Konyak also played well together at #3 doubles."
