
Roadrunner Men's Tennis off to a fast start in the opening round of the NJCAA DIII National Championships in Chattanooga, TN as Kyle Deacon, Rich Feldman and Christian Rafanello all grab singles wins on Day 1. The results:

Tournament Preview
Roadrunner Men's Tennis pays a visit to Champions Park in Chattanooga, TN from May 10-12, 2024 where they participate in the NJCAA Men's National Tennis Championships. The Region 19 champion Runners, coached by Brian Rowan, will look to cap a solid season when they compete in Chattanooga.
RCSJ finished second nationally in the 2023 tournament.
Roadrunner Men's Tennis turned in a solid outing during the Region 19 Championships at Mercer County Park on April 27, winning the team crown while several players added individual titles.
Region Champions included:
4th Singles: Justin Abrego
5th Singles: Brayan Cardenas
6th Singles: Mike Olsen
1st Doubles: Kyle Deacon/Rich Feldman
2nd Doubles: Christian Rafanello/Justin Abrego
3rd Doubles: Brayan Cardenas/Nick Meehan
The championship was the third straight for RCSJ and 11th in program history. The Runners grabbed the team title with 15 points followed by Ocean County (10), Brookdale (3) and Mercer (0).
And now, team players such as sophomore Christian Rafanello, hope to make an impact in the National Championship meet.
"This is a tough meet coming up, but we've improved a lot since last year and even throughout this season," said Rafanello, who competed at Nationals last spring. "We're ready to play our best tennis of the season."
