NJCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track & Field Championships: Roadrunner Results

The Roadrunners Track and Field teams completed an impressive season this past weekend at the NJCAA Division III National Championships. The teams had a total of 24 athletes qualify and compete at the meet hosted by Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica, NY. Going into the meet, the men's team had been ranked #9 and the women's team #4 in the latest USTFCCCA polls. At the meet, the teams faced the same difficult weather conditions they seemed to face all year, with cold and rain dominating the three day competition. Despite the conditions, the RCSJ Roadrunners mostly outperformed their expectations.

On the women's side, the team placed 6th, and in the process earned the honor of Region 19 Champions! The ladies came home with 4 season best performances which helped them achieve this finish. Highlights of the meet included several All-American performances:
The women's 4x800m relay team earned All-American with a 3rd place finish: (Courtney O'Hara, Grace Wahl, Georgia Lorenzetti, Dallas Walker)
Dallas Walker is also an individual All-American in the 800m with her 3rd place finish

Additional medal winning performances for the Lady Roadrunners came from:
Dallas Walker 6th in the 400m
Courtney O'Hara 4th in the 10,000m
Courtney O'Hara 4th in the steeplechase
4x100 relay (Murrow, Walker, Maccarone, Harverson) was 4th
4x400 relay (Murrow, Walker, Harverson, O'Hara) was 5th
Emma Harverson was 5th in high jump
Francesca Maccarone was 5th in pole vault
Sophia Dunning was 4th in hammer and 4th in discus

On the men's side, the team came home with 12 seasonal best performances and finished 9th in the team standings. Highlights of the meet included several All-American performances:
The men's 4x100m relay team earned All-American with a 3rd place finish: (Rae-Jaun Gayle, Heriberto Camacho, Khalif Horton, Ryan Gore)
Walter Moore is also an individual All-American in the discus with his 2nd place finish.

Additional medal winning performances came from:
Rae-Jaun Gayle 4th in the 100m and 4th in the 200m
Gary Boyd Jr. 5th in the 400m hurdles
CJ Gilmore 5th in the steeplechase
Derrick Corbin 6th in the javelin
Walter Moore 8th in the shot put
The 4x400m team (Khalif Horton, Berto Camacho, Rae-Jaun Gayle, Gary Boyd) was 6th
The 4x800m team (CJ Gilmore, Kevin Profico, Gary Schwegel, Gavin Casella) was 5th
