Bensaoud a Top Finisher as Roadrunner Cross Country Teams Compete in Tough DeSales Invitational
The Roadrunners cross country teams travelled to the foothills of the Poconos this past weekend to face off at the challenging course at DeSales University.  Race day also presented the RCSJ team with their coldest, windiest, and wettest meet of the season so far; but the teams stepped up to the challenge and had some great performances.

The men's team was led by award winner Anas Bensaoud with a 14th place finish in a seasonal best time of 27:17 over the 8k course.  Charlie Hepler crossed the line next with a 29:23 over the tough course for a top 50 finish in 41st.  The Kingsway duo of Gavin Casella and Darius Davis placed 53rd and 75th , while Derek Wyllie and John Schilling both had season best times finishing in 30:53 /56th and 32:04 65th respectively.  The men's team placed 6th in the 12 team race.

The lady Roadrunners were once again led by Courtney O'Hara with a 26th place finish in 26:38 after a week of recovering from illness.  The rest of the Roadrunner women all had amazing perfromances and set season best times in their final 6k race of the season.  Ally Campo placed 44th in 29:48, Madison O'Donnell placed 46th in 30:18, and Grace Wahl placed 78th in 40:22.  The women's team did not score as a team this week due to scheduling conflicts, but both teams will return to action next weekend as they face their NY competition at Sunken Meadow State park on Long Island.
