Tom Eichhorn will begin his tenure as the Roadrunner Women's Soccer coach in the Fall 2025 season -- and the new skipper will bring plenty of experience and familiarity to the program.

Eichhorn not only has enjoyed success as a Rowan University assistant coach in both the men's and women's soccer programs for a combined 20 seasons, but he has also served as an adjunct professor at the RCSJ South Jersey Gloucester campus for 15 years.

"I'm excited to have this opportunity -- I already know everyone here plus I'm very familiar with soccer programs all over South Jersey," said Eichhorn.

The new Roadrunner Coach steps in following a successful 2024 campaign in which RCSJ captured the Region 19 title and earned a berth in the NJCAA Division III National Championship Tournament. The Runners finished with a 14-3-1 overall record and went 1-1 in the national tournament.

"It is very exciting to have Coach Eichhorn on board – our women's soccer program has had a lot of success and we had tremendous interest in the position," said Brian Rowan, Executive Director of Roadrunner Athletics. "Coach Eichhorn brings a great resume and energy as we look to compete at the highest level in this sport. Our players will be very excited and I am looking forward to seeing where coach will lead us!"

Eichhorn knows the Runners have enjoyed solid success in recent years, and he wants to keep his goals simple.

"I want to build on the foundation that we already have here," noted Eichhorn. "We have a solid program in place, and I look forward to continuing that success."

Eichhorn also enjoyed success as a player. He competed at Dumont High School in Bergen County and later played at Rowan University, where he saw action as goalkeeper from 1999-2003. During that time, he helped lead the Profs to two NJAC Championships and four appearances in the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament, including the national championship game in 2000.

On the club level, Eichhorn served as the head coach for the Delaware Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program for the U16/17 girls' team in 2012. In addition, he also is currently a Director of Goalkeeping and Staff Coach for SJEB FC.  Eichhorn's coaching certifications include a National Coaching Diploma and National Goalkeeping Diploma from United Soccer Coaches as well as a D License from US Soccer.
