GAME DAY: Roadrunners Erupt in Late Innings, Eusebio Earns Win vs. Mercer CCC

Despite falling behind by five runs entering the third inning, Coach Rob Valli's Roadrunner baseball team was not to be denied in their season opener vs. host Mercer County Community College Monday afternoon.

The Runners, No. 2 in the NJCAA Division III National Rankings, erupted for four runs in the third and six more in the seventh to nail down a 10-5 victory over the Division II Vikings in 8 innings.

Sophomore Marcus Eusebio hurled three innings of scoreless relief to earn the win.

RCSJ Gloucester will take on D II Harford Community College in its home opener on Tuesday in a 2:30 pm start.

Gameday Preview

Roadrunner Baseball opens their 2021 season at Mercer Community College. First pitch at 3:00 pm, and that is just the start of a busy week for Coach Rob Valli's powerhouse team, expected once again to be national contenders in NJCAA Division III competition. 

Following the Runners' Monday game at Mercer CCC, they will host Harford, Salem, and Northern Essex this week!

Spectators will be allowed at outdoor home events - some restrictions will be in place.

-Some bleachers will be for team use only
-Top four rows behind home plate reserved for RCSJ Staff only
-Spectators in bleacher areas must be masked
-No contact (within 6 feet) permitted with any members of teams, umpires, or RCSJ Staff
