
Sophomore A.J. Tropiano provided the heroics by throwing out a runner at the plate and stroking a key double in the 6th, helping the Runners beat Delaware Tech CC 6-1 for a split of Saturday's twinbill between two top East Coast teams.
The win improved the Roadrunners' record to 12-4 overall.
In Game 1, the Runners -- No. 3 in the NJCAA Division III National Rankings -- saw their seven-game win streak snapped as Del Tech rallied late to pull out a 5-4 victory.
Next up for the Runners will be a home game Monday, March 20, vs. Raritan Valley Community College. First pitch is 3:30 pm.
