The Runners responded with 5 runs in the top of the ninth for a 20-15 advantage but were forced to hold off a rally by Lackawanna to close out the hard-fought win. When the final pitch was in the books, Lackawanna had left the bases loaded.
Other contributors for the Runners offensively included Kyle McSorley, Matt Brunner, RJ Mustaro, Gavin West and Alex Apicella.
"The hitters have really bailed us out in the last three games," said Coach Rob Valli. "They really did their jobs and kept chipping away whenever we need some runs."
The No. 1 D III nationally ranked Runners improved to 19-0 overall to continue the hottest start in program history.
Coach Valli's team faces another tough challenge when they host Harford CC (Maryland) in a 2 pm start on March 20th in Deptford, NJ.
