Roadrunner Men's Basketball Survives Tough Shooting Night to Outlast RCSJ Cumberland

It proved to be a two-man show when the No. 12 nationally ranked Roadrunner Men's Basketball team visited RCSJ Cumberland in their showdown match Thursday night.

Despite a poor shooting night against its GSAC and Region 19 opponent, the Roadrunners carved out a hard-fought 71-66 triumph, the team's 8th straight win to improve their record to 8-1 overall.

Center Josh Randall dominated the inside paint, pumping in 27 points, pulling down 24 rebounds and blocking 3 shots. On the boards, he grabbed 14 on the defensive end and 10 on the offensive end.

Guard Quantavious Rogers, meanwhile, controlled the outside game, depositing 19 points, pulling down 7 rebounds and dishing out 5 assists.

The Runners held a slim 34-32 halftime lead and struggled in the second half as well, outscoring the Dukes 37-34.

Randall did convert 10 of 14 field goal attempts to highlight his big night. Forward Darnell Demby also stepped in to help out the offense, making 4 of 5 FG attempts in netting 9 key points.

Next up for the Runners is a road game vs. GSAC rival Middlesex College in Edison on Saturday, Dec. 10th.
