Campbell, Rogers Lead Turnaround as Roadrunners Rally Past Middlesex College

Saturday's 79-70 triumph over visiting Middlesex College began on a disastrous note.

But the Runners quickly recovered from an early 11-point deficit as freshman forward Eriq Campbell and sophomore guard Quantavious Rogers pumped in 21 points apiece while displaying tough defense to spark the win. Sophomore guard Khayri Ransom chipped in a timely 13 points.

The Runners cut the deficit to 31-29 by halftime and then controlled the second half with a 50-39 surge. The Colts used some hot three-point shooting early on to claim an 18-7 lead before the Runners ramped up the defense and took control of the boards to work their way back into the game.

"We've had our ups and downs lately, and luckily today we had everything under control," commented Coach Casey. "This did not start well today, but we were able to finish the job.

"We've had a good season overall, and that's saying a lot because we play in a tough conference."

The Runners, who improved to 19-5 overall and 18-5 in the GSAC, have two more regular season games on the road at Salem, (Feb. 14) and Passaic (Feb. 18).
