Season Preview: 2024-25 Roadrunner Men's Basketball Opens Season vs. Delaware Tech

Season Preview: 2024-25 Roadrunner Men's Basketball Opens Season vs. Delaware Tech

Second-year Roadrunner Men's Basketball Coach Brandon Williams will enter the 2024-25 season with his first full recruiting class, and excitement is running high as RCSJ looks to compete for a Region 19 playoff berth this winter.

With two solid starters returning in sophomores Chris Racobaldo (forward) and Chance Kershaw (guard), along with an amazingly talented freshman class, the Runners hope to emerge as a top contender in the Garden State Athletic Conference and Region 19.

Coach Williams took over last season just prior to the start of the 2023-24 season, and now has had one season to recruit a full class of incoming players. Among those he will be counting on will be guard Ace Lassiter, a former Lenape High standout, and guard Kassius Willis and forward Fred Orock among others.

RCSJ will open the new season tonight on the road versus a tough opponent in NJCAA Division II Delaware Tech in the Delaware-New Jersey Tipoff Classic (7 pm) before returning home to meet Camden County College on Nov. 8th. The Runners will play just one home game and 9 road contests in the month of November.

"We will be true road warriors by the time we are finished with the month of November," noted Coach Williams. "But with the recruiting class we have and two very good veteran players back from last season, we hope to find our groove early and become competitive."
