The Roadrunner Men's Golf Team experienced gale force winds and lots of blind shots that led to tough scoring on an otherwise beautiful day at Galloping Hill Country Club on April 5th. RCSJ took down 3 of the 4 other schools in attendance, but fell to Morris, who the Runners beat at Valleybrook, by 7 strokes.
Steve Burek posted the lowest score of all competitors on the day with a hard-fought 82 and has firmly established himself as not only RCSJ's number one, but one of the finer golfers in the region.

The team travels to Flanders Valley on Monday, where we will see many of the same faces.
Coach Davidson, though pleased to be able to have his team compete at such a fine venue, was not entirely pleased with the results.
"New courses, particularly those with blind shots and lots of elevation changes are always a challenge, but the wind was an especially huge factor," Coach Davidson said. "Unfortunately, I feel like we lost some focus out there that led to some lost balls and big numbers on a few holes. Steve played very well, but a few of our guys would like to have some shots back. We're capable of a higher caliber of play. While it was nice to outscore three opponents, four would have been better. We had a good range session at Pitman today where we worked on keeping the ball in play. We're hoping that will translate well to our match at Flanders Valley next Monday."
