Roadrunners Men's Tennis Opens Region XIX Tourney with Wins in 5 of 6 Singles Matches

The Roadrunners captured five of their six singles matches as they opened the Region XIX Men's Tennis Championships at Mercer County Park on Friday. Leading the way were J.P. Ciliberto and Paulo Claure. Check back for a wrapuyp on all first-day action.

 

Tournament Preview

​Best of luck to the Roadrunner Men's Tennis Team as they begin their quest to repeat as Region XIX Division III champions this weekend at Mercer County Park in West Windsor, NJ.​

The Roadrunners finished the regular season with a 4-2 overall record and 4-1 mark in league competition as they earned a share of the Garden State Athletic Conference championship.

Seedings for the tournament took place earlier in the week. Matches will be held Friday and Saturday at Mercer County Park. RCGC has compiled a total of four NJCAA Division III National Championships and eight Region XIX titles in its proud history.​ That record includes the 2018 Region XIX title won at Mercer County Park.

The Roadrunners are led by sophomore standouts J.P. Ciliberto, Zach Carr, and Paulo Claure, along with freshman stars Mark Gladkyy, Jake Carlson and Tate Merlino.
