Track and Field travels to the Albright Invitational where school records fall and national marks are set

In the men's events:

Adam Hunt continued to improve in the Shot Put having placed 2nd behind RCGC Alumn/Rutgers Camden Andrew Kustera. During the competition both Hunt and Kustera battled back and forth for the 1st place position. Ultimately Kustera would win the event with a personal best of 15.64 (51' 3 1/4") and while doing so would push Hunt to his own personal best and new Indoor school record toss of 15.54m (51'). This mark ranks Hunt 13th in the nation vs. all NJCAA Track & Field divisions.

Also in the shot put and in only his second competition, Josh Varghese captured a 4th place finish which was a new personal best of 13.38m (43' 10 3/4").  Varghese also competed in the weight throw for the first time where he placed 15th with a heave of 10.26m.

On the track; Freshamn Fidel Garcia-Corporan placed 8th in the 55m (7.33), 5th in the 200m (26.82) and 6th in the 400m (58.98). Freshman Marquis Copeland placed 5th in the 55m (6.94) and 3rd in the 200m (25.45)

In the men's team scoring, the men placed 5th out of 15 teams as the only NJCAA DIII school competing and with just these few talented individuals.

In the women's events:

Emily Hilt continued her reign of the shot put, with a toss of 12.41m (40' 9") to place 2nd behind an NCAA DIII Senior.  In her first competition ever and after only 2 practices Hilt also heaved the weight throw 13.92m to clinch 4th in that event. This mark surpassed the NJCAA DI National Qualifer and broke into the Top 25 amongst all NJCAA Track & Field divisions.

Elisia Lancaster with an "off day" placed 3rd in the shot put with a throw of 12.10m (39' 9").  Lancaster turned quite a few heads with her new event and first competition ever in the weight throw. Surpassing the field by over a meter with an amazing school record plus national ranked #2 toss of 17.40m (57' 1").  Though winning the event it was made even more impressive by the fact that Hilt and Lancaster have only practiced the event twice, ever, and had to borrow an implement from another school in order to do so.

In the women's team scoring, these TWO ladies as the only Junior College competing placed 3rd out of 12 NCAA teams.
