The Roadrunner staff has been reaching out to their student-athletes during this rough time. We have them filling out a questionnaire that was created by #NJCAAForward Movement. We decided to reach out to one of the Freshman Throwers on our Men's Track and Field Team, Brian Bruccoliere, to pick his mind about why he choose to attend RCSJ-Gloucester!
NAME: Brian Bruccoliere
SPORT(S): Track and Field
POSITION(S): Shot Put
FRESHMAN/SOPHOMORE: Freshman
ACADEMIC MAJOR: Exercise Science
HIGH SCHOOL: Paul VI
HOMETOWN: Mount Ephraim
What made you choose to come to RCSJ?
I chose to attend RCSJ-Gloucester for their education and their strong athletic department. This school is known for their athletics and education and to take advantage of them to better myself and my future.
What has been your favorite part about being a student-athlete in our program?
The best part about being a student athlete at this program is being around your teammates and coaching staffing and bonding as a family. Even outside of my sport, I enjoy cheering on for my fellow student-athletes that are on other teams. This athletic program has a great sense of "family" and I really enjoy that.
What are some things you are doing to stay on top of your classes?
I'm constantly checking my messages and assignments, making sure that I have nothing due that day or that week. If I do I have assignments to complete, I make sure I finish them right away instead of waiting
What is the biggest thing you miss with the Fitness Center now closed?
I miss not being able to greet and meet new people and be around the student-athletes. Also, being able to get a workout!
What is your plan for next year?
My plan for next year is to return to RCSJ and continue my education here and to compete for another National Championship with the Track and Field Team!
