The Roadrunner softball team completed a successful Maryland road trip this weekend by sweeping Division II Hagerstown Community College, 4-3 and 7-1 in a twinbill on Saturday.
Julie Petroski knocked in two runs and Paige Fox and Kamryn Kennedy add key RBIs to help Roadrunner Softball rally for 4 runs in the seventh inning and a 4-3 win over host Hagerstown CC (MD) in Game 1 Saturday.
Kelliann Hammond went the distance, allowing 3 runs, to earn the win.
In Game 2, winning pitcher Selena Chila collected 2 hits and 4 RBIs while teammate Morgan Fitzpatrick added 3 hits and an RBI to spark a 7-1 triumph and a doubleheader sweep.
Coach Steve DePasquale's team finished 3-1 on the trip after splitting a doubleheader on Friday vs. D-II Chesapeake College.
The No. 10 nationally ranked Runners improved to 24-15 overall as they return home for a doubleheader Sunday vs. County College of Morris starting at 12 noon.
