Dylan Fischer Emerges as 165-Pound Champion in Bob Quade Cyclone Open at Centenary University

Sophomore Dylan Fischer (West Deptford) emerged as the 165-pound champion to highlight a solid performance by Roadrunner wrestlers during Sunday's Bob Quade Cyclone Open at Centenary University. The title was the second straight for Dylan in this tournament.

Fischer, who qualified for last season's NJCAA National Championships, breezed through the 165-pound bracket with three pins and a decision following a first-round bye. In the title bout, the former West Deptford High star notched a fall in 1 minute, 59 seconds over Kutztown University's Connor Rogovich.

in earlier rounds, Fischer registered falls over William Trade's Austin Bohr in 0:49 and Scranton's TJ Conlon in 0:34, followed by a tough 5-3 decision over Scranton's Justin Weimer in the semifinals.

In other action, RCSJ-Gloucester's Nick DiGiacomo (Timber Creek) turned in a second place performance at 125 pounds while teammate Curtis Thomas (Delsea) registered a third place showing at 197 pounds. All told, four Roadrunner wrestlers had advanced to the semifinal rounds.

Over 150 wrestlers competed in the tournament.

Next up for Coach Dan Antonelli's Runners will be the Long Island Open at Nassau Community College on Saturday, December 14.
