For two Roadrunner wrestlers, a dream came true Saturday afternoon at Lackawanna College. That's when 125-pound champion Shamar Baines and 165-pound third-place finisher Matthew Mushinski emerged as national qualifiers from the Gulf Atlantic District Championships!

Baines grabbed the 125-pound crown when he decisioned Middlesex College's Zain Ahmed in the championship final.

Mushinski advanced to the semifinals at 165 pounds, losing to Camden County's Aldan Dick, 7-1. He finished in third place to qualify for the National Championship Tournament when he recorded a pin over Sussex's Michael Castles in 4:39 of the third place bout.

Camden County College won the team championship.

The NJCAA National Wrestling Championships will be held March 3-4 at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, IA.
