GAME DAY: Roadrunner Women's Soccer Edges Camden CC for First Win

Dehlia Fynes (Washington Township) scored the game-winning goal with an assist from Angelina Mowad (Washington Township) to lift the Roadrunner women's soccer team to their first win of the season, a 4-3 triumph at Camden County College on Tuesday.

Also contributing goals were Mowad, Siera Rivera (Vineland) and Leigh Swietanski (West Deptford).

Goalkeeper Ally Gebhart (Delsea) recorded four saves for the win.

Coach Megan Ruttler's team battled back from a 2-0 first half deficit to pick up the win and improve to 1-2 overall.

Following the rough start, Ruttler commented:

"We were much more intense and applied consistent high pressure. We've been working on passing patterns to get into the attack. We were very successful with that today."

The Roadrunners continue a tough road trip this weekend in Maryland during the Dragon Invitational, where they will meet national powers Howard CC Saturday (1:30 pm) and Anne Arundel CC Sunday (12:30 pm).
