Freshman Caitlin Schlosser led an offensive assault in the first half with two goals as the Runners built a commanding halftime lead in a 5-1 victory over Lackawanna College on Thursday at home in the regular season finale.

Coached Megan Ruttler's squad scored all five of their goals in the first half for a 5-0 halftime lead. Goal scorers included Caitlin Schlosser with two goals followed by Morgan Wermuth, Leigh Swietanski, and Kayla Davila with one goal each.

"We had a lot of the ball and had some good opportunities," said coach Ruttler. "This was a good game overall for us."

Goalkeeper Allison Gebhart allowed just one goal and received plenty of offensive support from her teammates as the Roadrunner women's soccer team defeated visiting Lackawanna College 5-1 on Thursday afternoon.

Gebhart stopped nine shots on goal to record her eighth win of the 2019 season. "Ali (Gebhart) came up with a couple of big saves to keep the score lopsided in our favor," said Ruttler. 

The Runners improved their overall record to a solid 8-7 as they await the upcoming Region XIX playoffs.
