Nikki Tricocci and Emily Martin Sign Letters of Intent for Roadrunner Women's Soccer

Nikki Tricocci and Emily Martin, both soccer standouts at Triton Regional High School the past three seasons, have signed letters of intent to play women's soccer for the Roadrunners starting in the Fall of 2020.

Both Nikki and Emily helped the Mustangs qualify for the NJSIAA Group 3 playoff tournament this past season under coach Danielle Spinuzza. Known for their tough defensive play, the Triton duo helped their team improve throughout the season. They performed well during a heart-breaking double overtime loss to South Jersey power Delsea in the regular season and later during a Group 3 playoff contest vs. Lacey Township.

Aside from playing soccer, Tricocci was also a member of the Mustang's girls track team, excelling in the 55 meters during the indoor season and the 100 and 200 meters during the outdoor campaign.

Martin played primarily at center back and defensive midfield during the recent soccer campaign. She also competed for the Washington Township United Fever 02 Club.

Roadrunners' Coach Megan Ruttler is looking forward to Nikki's and Emily's defensive contributions as members of the team next season! Welcome to the program!

Coach Megan Ruttler on Nikki Tricocci and Emily Martin

"Nikki (Tricocci) is going to bring some speed to the back line and down the flanks in addition to some solid 1v1 defending. Emily (Martin) has a high soccer IQ so her ability to read the game is pretty solid. While I am uncertain she will be better suited for us as a center back or defensive center mid, she will be a contributor. They have played together for years so it will be nice to see that at RCSJ-Gloucester. While they are great athletes, they are solid young-women who come from supportive families. We are thrilled to add them to our program's family."
