SEASON PREVIEW: Roadrunner Women's Tennis on the Rise in Fall 2021

The RCSJ Women's Tennis team, under the direction of second-year coach Kristi Twardziak, opens their Fall 2021 season on Wednesday, Sept. 8 with high hopes of enjoying a successful campaign.

The Runners meet Camden County College on the road at Overbrook High School in a 3:30 pm start.

Led by First and Second singles players Daisy Marrero (Washington Twp.) and Gina Poitras (Pitman) respectively, the Runners will look to be competitive in Region XIX action this Fall.

Season Preview

Coach: Kristi Twardziak, second season. Coach Twardziak is a former successful softball, baseball, basketball and tennis athlete on the college and high school levels, and is currently the head softball coach at Triton Regional High School.

Spring 2021 Season: The Roadrunners played a limited schedule of three matches in a season cut short by the pandemic.

Season Opener: September 8, 3:30 pm, at Camden County College in a match to be played at Overbrook High School.

Key Returnees: Gina Poitras (Pitman); Peyton Schultz (Glassboro).

Promising Newcomers: Daisy Marrero (Washington Twp.), Gianna Fasulo (GCIT), Aurora Ryan (Millville), Hannah Sharkey (Washington Twp.); Irene Tantaros (Williamstown).

Coach Kristi Twardziak on Fall 2021 season: "We have some experience and have some nice recruits on the roster this season, so we are hopeful to be very competitive," said Twardziak.
