The women's volleyball team improved their overall record to 5-2 with a 3-0 victory over Region XIX opponent Passaic County on Saturday in a home match.
Thanks to the fine play of sophomores Azhyainna Redd, Emily Tate, Casye Alderete and Alysia Williams, and freshmen Taylor Caldas, Megan Shook, and Victoria Caldas, the Roadrunners won all three matches by scores of 25-7, 25-16, and 25-12.
"We feel we've really improved over last year, and we've all developed a great team chemistry," said Tate, a sophomore out of Jackson Memorial High.
The Roadrunners will next travel to Middlesex CC on Tuesday Sept. 18 in a 7 PM start.
