SEASON PREVIEW: Roadrunner Volleyball Looks to Continue Winning Ways

SEASON PREVIEW: Roadrunner Volleyball Looks to Continue Winning Ways
A proud, winning tradition continues with RCSJ Gloucester women's volleyball as the Roadrunners open the Fall 2021 season Wednesday Sept. 8 -- and Head coach Rebecca Pierson's squad is in a solid position to perform well on a regional level once again.

Following a long layoff due to the pandemic in 2020, the Runners continued their winning ways last spring, turning in a solid 7-2 overall record. The Runners not only return a veteran roster, but one loaded with new talent.

Pierson, who will be assisted by coaches Danielle Honey and Kyle Honey, will welcome back standout veterans such as liberos Katie Burrichter and Summer Wroniuk along with setter Dominique Marcano. Meanwhile, a solid group of freshmen recruits are expected to contribute and help the team enjoy another winning season.

The Runners open the Fall 2021 season with a tough opponent in Raritan Valley Community College on the road Wednesday, Sept. 8 in a 7:00 pm start.
