Focus on Roadrunner Wrestling Manager Dylan Skidmore

The last two years RCSJ Wrestling Manager Dylan Skidmore competed in the NJCAA National Championship Wrestling Tournament in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Now he will be on the sidelines helping many of his former teammates battle their way through the tough challengers they will face when they square off Friday with opponents from around the country in the Mid-America Center.

As part of his duties as Wrestling Manager, Skidmore assists Head Coach Dan Antonelli with coaching duties. The two know each other well as Dylan wrestled for Coach Antonelli while at Glassboro High School and as a student at RCSJ.

Overall Dylan wrestled for two seasons for the Roadrunners and qualified twice for the National Tournament, while also enjoying two productive seasons in the RCSJ men's soccer program. He is also a talented announcer at many Roadrunner athletic events.

"I still feel very much a part of the team," said Skidmore, who will move on to Rowan University next season. "I'm pretty much a connection between Coach Antonelli and the wrestlers, and how the guys are doing at any given moment.

"I can see where the coach is coming from on a given day and be able to tell the wrestlers why they need to go hard on a certain day in practice. It gives more transparency between coach and athlete.

Coaching is one area Dylan hopes to continue after he graduates Rowan University, where he hopes to complete his degree in criminal justice.

"I had done this on the youth level for three years, and I really enjoy coaching and helping out. I told Coach Antonelli too that I am always available to com back and help out."
