Roadrunners Open 2019 Season With Split Against  Division 1 Louisburg College

The RCGC baseball team opened their season on the road against a tough opponent in Division 1 Louisburg College (North Carolina), splitting a doubleheader by winning 8-0 in Game 2 but dropping a 4-3 decision in Game 1.

In Game 2, Nick Yoder (Highland) scattered three hits and struck out six, while Matt Stil tossed one hitting of hitless relief as the Runners blanked the Hurricanes. Lorenzo Morello and Jose Correa collected two hits each as RCGC broke it open with two runs in the fourth and three runs each in the fifth and sixth innings.

In Game 1, the Roadrunners, No. 3 in the NJCAA Division III National Rankings, collected six hits, with Alex Gattinelli (Washington Township) and Lorenzo Morello picking up multiple hits. Gattinelli, one of Division III's top hitters a year ago, led RCGC with three hits in four at bats.

Mike Biasiello (Kingsway) took the loss for RCGC, hurling two innings and allowing two runs on four hits and striking out three.

Drew Camp paced the Hurricanes' offense, slamming a home run in the third inning. Winning pitcher Brandon Bradley went five innings, scattering six hits and allowing no walks.
