#NJCAAForward Initiative: Spotlight on Roadrunners Men's Soccer Freshman Jake Fazi

As part of the #NJCAAForward initiative, Roadrunner Athletics is proud to highlight many of our top student athletes. In this post, we highlight the Center Back of the Men's Soccer team, Jake Fazi. In the 2019 season, Fazi made his strong defense presence known on the pitch this season. Not only was Fazi a nightmare for opposing offensive players, he contributed 4 goals, 3 assists and tallied 11 points offensively to help the team finish the season with a 12-5-3 record. In this post, Jake Fazi discusses the restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic and how he is keeping up with his school work and what his plans are for the future!

What made you choose to come to RCSJ?

The nursing program and the soccer team. I know I wanted to stay close and the school fit my needs.

What has been your favorite part about being a student-athlete in our program?

The ability to get through the work load from school and enjoy my season.

What are some things you are doing to stay on top of your classes?

The team study hall is a great tool. It makes you focus on the work for an hour and helped me get all my homework done.

Who has had the biggest influence on you during your athletic career at RCSJ-Gloucester?

All of the second year players gave me some type of knowledge and how to carry myself. I thank them for showing me the routine and accepting me.

What is your plan for next year?

Play another season here and then transfer to continue my academics.
