As part of the #NJCAAForward initiative, Roadrunner Athletics is proud to highlight many of our top student athletes. In this post, we highlight the Midfielder of the Men's Soccer team, Chris Jackson. In the 2019 season, Jackson started 15 out of 16 games for the Roadrunners in the midfield for the runners. Jackson showed that he was a key factor in the runners midfield showcasing his skills on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. In this post, Jackson discusses the restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic and how he is keeping up with his school work and what his plans are for the future!

What made you choose to come to RCSJ? 

• I wanted to stay local and I love everyone on the coaching staff for the soccer program and all the players.

What has been your favorite part about being a student-athlete in our program?

• All the athletes go through the same stuff in regards to focusing on school work as well as their sport.

What are some things you are doing to stay on top of your classes? 

• Keep on a normal schedule and being consistent with the work.

What is the biggest thing you miss with the Fitness Center now closed? 

• Not being able to workout with my teammates and it gave me a easy way to schedule so that after I had class I could workout easily 

What is your plan for next year? 

• For soccer my plan is to step my game up to the next level and win every game we have and win a championship. Academically I'm hoping to get my GPA up to at least a 3.5.
