Men's Soccer 2022 Preview: Talented Team Opens Campaign on Solid Note

Men's Soccer 2022 Preview: Talented Team Opens Campaign on Solid Note

While men's soccer coach George Hobbins lost some deeply talented players from a successful 2021 campaign, the Roadrunners nonetheless field a team loaded with talented freshman players.

The Runners have begun the Fall 2022 season with a 1-1 record following a win over Bucks County College and a loss to Division II Mercer CCC. This follows a successful 2021 season in which Coach George Hobbins' team registered a 10-6 record while earning a Region 19 playoff berth.

"We're young and inexperienced overall, but we do have some depth," said Hobbins, who is beginning his ninth season. "Our midfield and and back line are strong and talented. As always, it's just a matter of finding a couple players who can put the ball in the net."

The Runners also graduated one of the nation's top goalkeepers in Gunner Hoffman, but begin the current season with a trio pf talented goalkeepers in Jake Fisher, Jason Coburn, and Joseph Lomas.
